Freddy Krueger is the main antagonist in many top rated movies. His character has stared in: A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, Freddy’s Nightmares, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, New Nightmare, Freddy vs. Jason, A Nightmare on Elm Street: Real Nightmares, and A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010).

 

Amanda Krueger was a young girl who was raped hundreds of times. Shortly after, she gave birth to the “bastard son of a hundred maniacs”, Freddy.  Freddy was an unwanted child and was shifted from foster home to foster home. Throughout his childhood he was hated and tormented. Freddy lived a rough life and began seeking revenge on others.

 

His wife found out about a few murders he had committed when she found his gloves and so he killed her. Freddy was released after being arrested because the police forgot to read him his rights, so the people of the town took matters into their own hands. They chased Freddy and ran him into a building. They set the building on fire and Freddy was burned alive.

 

In every movie Freddy stars is a serial killer who uses a glove that has attached razors on it to kill his victims, who reside on Elm Street, in their dreams. The murder in their dreams will result in their death in the real world as well. The only way to avoid this death is to wake up before Freddy kills you or not go to sleep at all.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I believe that Freddy is a scary monster character because it is so hard to escape him. Everyone needs sleep, but fears that when they fall asleep, they may never wake up again. I think the reason he kills in his sleep is because he wants to trap his victims, just like he was trapped in the building before he was killed. Also, he takes revenge on those who live on Elm Street because that is the street that all of the mean children he grew up with lived on. He wants to take revenge on similar people that he encountered when he was a child.  

 

Freddy was tortured and tormented his whole life and was never given a fair chance. I believe the reason he comes into people’s dreams to murder them is because he wants people to feel the way he once felt. He wants people to die a painful death like he had to endure. He was never happy much as a child or even into his adult life and murdering his victims seems to bring him the joy he has lacked his whole life.
